National Racing Museum and Hall of Fame

Slingshot Studio designed and animated the opening video for the McDonald’s Worldwide Conference. The annual event is hosted for restaurant owners, franchisees and VIPs. Based on the theme of this year’s event called “Forward”, the client wanted a kinetic typographic animation which visually described each of the key phrases in a simple, elegant way.

"What It Takes: Journey to the Hall of Fame"

ABOUT:

Slingshot Studio designed, animated and composited the last segment of the 16 minute film entitled “What It Takes: Journey to the Hall of Fame”. Projected on a 360° seamless rectangular screen measuring 56’ x 47’, the viewer is literally surrounded with imagery. This segment re-creates a time-lapse shot from sunrise to evening as we see silhouetted riders and horses moving across the expansive screen followed by still images and interviews of hall of famers. This entire sequence was composited using rotoscoped 8K footage combined with still imagery stitched together and finally animated with various visual effects. The above is an excerpt rendered in a 3D scale model of the gallery to simulate the way viewers would experience it in real life.
